The application is available in the fields of television, radio, and internet journalists primarily from developing countries in Africa, Asia (including Pacific Island nations), and Latin America/the Caribbean. It will cover the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) deliberations for approximately 10-12 weeks beginning in September 2023.U.N. journalists created the Dag Hammarskjöld Fund as an independent organization in 1962 in order to create a living tribute to the legacy of Dag Hammarskjöld, who served as Secretary-General of the United Nations. It is still run by journalists employed by the United Nations and depends on financial support from that organization.
