The Belgian American Educational Foundation (BAEF) is the leading independent philanthropy in the support of exchanging university students, scientists, and scholars between the United States and Belgium. Through its Exchange Fellowship Program, the BAEF offers numerous fellowships for Belgian citizens for graduate study or research in the U.S. Fellowships for a Initial Master's Fellowship in the U.S. are outright grants for holders of undergraduate degrees wishing to obtain an initial two-year Master's degree in the U.S.A. The first year of the master's program offers up to $60,000 (a $20,000 stipend and up to $40,000 for tuition and health insurance) and up to $40,000 for tuition and health insurance for the second year, subject to obtaining an outstanding GPA for the first year. Fellows are expected to stay in the U.S. for 2 full academic years at a top university.

Eligibility: Applicants must: hold Belgian nationality hold a bachelor's degree at the time of activation of the fellowship submit official transcripts of 120 credits as evidence of an outstanding bachelor's study record submit an application to a two-year Master's program in the U.S.A. have a good command of English and submit by November 15 a TOEFL iBT score of >100/120 or IELTS >7.5/9 submit GRE test results (VR>155, QR>155, AW>3.5) or equivalent graduate admission test results
