Applications are being accepted from outstanding international students for the Assistance in Case of Financial Difficulty (LMU Nothilfe) funded by the Ludwig Maximilian University.

This educational program aims to attract talented  international students commencing undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral at the university.Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) is a public research university located in Munich, Germany. Established in 1472, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Germany, with a long tradition of excellence in teaching and research. LMU offers a diverse range of academic fields, including humanities, cultural studies, law, economics, social sciences, medicine, and natural sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Must be international students or doctoral candidates at LMU
  • Must be experiencing short-term and unexpected financial need.

Offered Benefits

Successful applicants will receive a one-time financial grant of 650 euros to alleviate their financial hardship during their studies at LMU.
