Eligibility:

You're eligible if you:

  • Identify as a woman or non-binary person 
  • Be enrolling as a domestic student at an Australian University. 
  • Be planning to undertake a STEM degree or higher degree to improve business acumen (Leadership category only), commencing in 2026. 

Selection criteria:

The scholarship is available to those who plan to commence study in 2026. Applications for the 2026 Elevate program close at 9:00am (AEST) Monday 1 September 2025. 

ATSE particularly encourages applications from individuals who:

  • identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • identify as LGBTQIA+
  • are from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • are from low socio-economic backgrounds
  • are from regional, rural or remote areas
  • are living with a disability. 

Diversity, inclusion, and achievement relative to opportunity will be considered in the assessment and selection process.

About this scholarship:

In addition to providing financial support, the program aims to address gender inequities in STEM through fostering more women-led industry-academia collaborations, in applied research and business, growing professional skills of women in STEM and propelling women into leadership.
